Mustang Spring Question, are my friends dumb?

My friend has a '93 cobra and had 2" lowering springs on it, got bigger rims, and needed to raise the ride up a lil bit so he isnt using the springs

him and a friend of mine that has a camaro keep telling me I should put his lowering springs in my 86 T/A, I tell them they are crazy, they wont fit.

Am I wrong, or would his springs fit in my car. I know it wouldnt drop it that same as on the mustang ...maybe more...maybe less, but would they work or am I rite?

Well; one way.. measure the width of your front spring, and compare it to his. Another way; call one of the lowering spring companies up and ask. Say that you're selling YOUR mustang, and want to know if the springs will work on your other car, a Firebird. I can't see them working, though. Don't fords use an upper/lower control arm/shock suspension, as opposed to our struts?

buy a set of Eibach pro-kit 3rdgen f-body springs for $250 it's a 1.5" drop that is slightly noticable in looks and very noticable as the driver. it's not going to compromise your frontend geometry, the alighment guys didn't even know i had lowered my car even though they saw all the new stuff! the cobra springs clearly don't belong on your car!! sell them and buy yourself the right springs!
