Front end
Well now i need to do my front end. i looked at p-s-t and performace susupension. i dont know what one to get. performace give the idler arm and other things while p s t does not. what is your guys experience with front end kits. what the best and what else should i buy along with the front end kit. thanks alot
i'm working on getting the parts for mine as well right now, the onlything that looks promising from p-s-t is the so called polygraphite bushings......if this is so good how come gm doesn't put this sort of thing on their high end sports cars like the corvette? not to mention they also outsource which means it's not even their parts.
i'm just going to go with gm parts since i know they work, i'll just make sure to take care of them unlike the people who owned my car the last 70,000 miles.

Front end kit
I purchased the polygraphite kit from PST along with tie rod ends, idler arm, and center link. I was very happy with the kit. The car behaves completely different and noise is minimal if you keep the bushings well lubed. You may not need to get the extra stuff for your ride, but mine had just turned 200,000 miles, so I opted for replacing the whole frontend. Hope this helps.

I hear that Moog replacement parts are the best and Summit just started selling them. I added it all up and: outer and inner tie rods, adjusting sleeves, lower ball joints, idler arm and a centerlink come to $300. To find the part online, you have to type in the part number in the search. Actually ill just list the part numbers for future reference (im bored and i dont have class tomorrow so i have time to kill)
inner tie rods: MOG-ES2227RL $45.39 each (2 required)
outer tie rods: MOG-ES2226RL $34.99 each (2 required)
ball joints: MOG-K-6145T $24.39 each (2 required)
adjusting sleeves: MOG-ES2032S $10.99 each (2 required)
idler arm: MOG-K-6249 $54.69
centerlink: MOG-DS1049 $64.39
it is alittle expensive but everyone says they are the best and i only plan to rebuild the front end once.

I did my whole front end about 2 years ago on my 87 Z28. I got the Super Front End kit, or whatever its called the one that includes every bushing that you would need, and got all new tie rod ends, inner and outer, a new center link, and a new idler arm. all from PST. It works great, and turns and handles smooth. Everything bolted right in.

With that same logic You could ask why did GM not put a larger Duration Cam in the L98 ?
Why did they Not Give Corvettes headers from the Factory ?
Because for 90% of the population, They are More trouble than they are worth.
Poly Bushings give a Harsher Ride, and some people whine that they sqeak.
In return, You get dramatically reduced Deflection Under Load. Thats a Good thing
Not to mention they outlast Rubber Bushings by a fair amount.Personally, I can deal with a bit more rattle in my car and a midly sqeaky suspension ( Mine does NOT sqeak, btw ) and reap the benifits taht these parts return In Handling.
But thats not to say its for everyone. Im also Running 900lb/in front springs.
At least Do yourself a favor, and get a Poly Transmission mount. My stock Lg4 Tore the Stock Rubber mount In two peices.
My friends L98 went through three stock Mounts before he Got Smart.
