Conversion to Dual Master Cylinder Manual Brakes

I know this is a long shot but ...

Has anyone converted their car from power brakes to a dual master cylinder manual brake setup. I am not talking about a single manual master cylinder conversion. This is easy to do because all you have to do is buy the conversion kit from www.edquay.com. I am talking about running dual master cylinders (one for the front and one for the back). This will yield incredible brake pressures that shouldn't be much different than power brakes. With a 3/4 bore MC and a 7:1 pedal you can get almost 1600PSI from *one* of the MCs. If its good enough for NASCAR then its good enough for me

I am looking at the following parts:
Wilwood 7:1 pedal assembly (PN 340-1287)
Wilwood 3/4" bore High-Volume aluminum Master Cylinders (PN 260-6764)

The pedal assembly and 2 of the MCs run about $190 I am mainly curious how to go about mounting the brake pedal. I would rather not use the stock brake pedal and redrill for more leverage because I want to take advantage of the 'balance bar' setup that comes with the Wilwood pedal assembly.

Why am I asking about this? ENGINE VACUUM! I need more vacuum for my power brakes. I can either install an electric vacuum pump or convert over to a true performance oriented manual race brake setup. I want to see if the manual setup would work first since I would rather not trust my brakes to a 12V motor

We run this exact setup on our formula electric car here at WVU. The adjustablility is great and it has plenty of power to stop the 2700 pound car. 1200 pound car 1500 poounds of batteries. I'm pretty sure it uses a wilwood pedal too. I'll have to check and get back to you on that.

If you could find the info that would be awesome. Pictures would be great too! I am really curious as to how the pedal is mounted and if the MCs clear the hood AOK. Was an adapter plate made to bolt these up to the firewall?

Any info you could give is much appreciated.

well the car is an indy car type chassi so space is real tight up front. i say you could fit the whole assymly under the dash its real small. The assymbly is attatched to a cross tube so i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to fabricate up a mount that is bolted to the firewall. Ohh yeah thats the pics of the car after our driver backed into the wall at mid ohio I'll try to dig up pics of it on the website. I won't be able to get pics of the car since its at a race this week.

Ok here is the best pic i can find right now it doesn't show much but it sould give you an idea of how big the setup is. The adjustable blance bar is great and we have the adjuster **** mounted right where the driver can get to it. He uses t alot. Maybe he shoulda have been looking at where he was going instead! lol
