Iam just wondering what are teh benefits of both and how are they different?

besides the benefits of liteweight and stronger than steel.......couldn't tell you. o it's more expensive so i guess that could make up the difference.

 

Does it need to be treated differently?

like can you weld it like steel?

How much less does chrom moly weigh compared to the same amount of steel?

CM is much harder to weld and more likely to crack, it'll flex a lot less, sometimes that's good, sometimes it isn't all depends on your application. i had a CM chassis once and it was too stiff and cracked a lot. i like mild steel for most applications.

 

So itis not good to have alot of weight on chrom moly?
