Has anybody changed their endlinks ... ?

Have any of you ever changed you old rusty anti-sway bar endlinks by actually removing the nut? I did my rears tonight and the fronts last summer. In all cases, I ended up cutting up the old stuff to get it off. Is this how it is done? Or am I missing something?

I did. A 1/2' wrench and a 1/2" depp socket/ratchet worked fine for me.

I don't think I've ever cut them off. I just twist till the nut comes off or the bolt breaks. Usually it's the latter.

I just replaced mine when I put in my 1LE sway bars. Just turn the bolt while you hold the nut in place on the top.

When i was wrenching up in the frozen freakin north (new york), we used to cut just about everything off instead of messing with rusted fasteners. If we knew it was going to be replaced anyways, a die grinder with cutoff wheel makes for a quick job.

These things get pretty jacked up after a while. When converting over to poly, I too snapped off the old bolt trying to remove it. Just the nature of the beast.

I got mine off with wrenches, but they were so badly rusted that the penetrating oil started smoking from the heat.
