relieving fuel pressure

Does anybody know how to relieve the pressure from the fuel lines of a 92 camaro? The repair manual says to remove the fuel pump fuse, but there is no fuel pump fuse in the fuse block. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

To releave the fuel pressure, disconnect the battery and remove the gas cap. This is what i do when i work on my TBI.

The "recommended" way to do it is by cutting power to the fuel pump (pulling the fuse) and running 'til it dies. But on my TBI, I've never had a problem just opening the gas cap and waiting a couple minutes (no squirting or anything) before cracking the fuel lines open, since they operate on such a lower pressure than port injection setups. Waiting gives it enough time to bleed off the 12 or so pounds of pressure.

Oh, btw, the fuel pump and ECM are powered off the inline fuse that's located on the fender next to the battery.

yeah, I tried pulling that fuse like everybody says, but my car wouldn't start. I was replacing the fuel filter at the time and eventually just gave up and got gas all over me in the process.

Take the gas cap off, that'll help the fuel drain back into the tank rather than gushing out all over the place.

I've done it this way a bazillion times. If you crack the return line first you can usually hear it gurgle, then you can take the supply line off.
