Just traded in the tired LO3 and traded it in for a newer one, it has about 1200miles on it and ive noticed that at a idle it feels like the engine is shakeing Is it that the new engine isn't balanced or that the timmings off I have a 18mo. unlimited mile warrenty on it so do ya'll think I should turn it back in for them to figgure it out or are there other things I can look at and try before I hand it over to them again? On my old engine I didn't notice the shakeing so i know this isn't normal.

 

At what rpm are you noticing it shake? I know out of gear mine feels like it shakes a bit, but only around 800 rpm. Over all how does it run?

 

I just had a brand new L03 installed two weeks ago. It shook a little for the first 200 miles, but then smoothed out. It may have to do with the break in period. If it does'nt get better after 200 miles, I would bring it back in. Before you do that though, make sure all your vent and vaccum hoses and leads are connected firmly. When I got my car back, I had to go through and reseat most connectors. It looks like they just threw them on. Good luck.

 

maybe your rocker arms aren't adjusted correctly. what type of rocker arms are in there?
