I took more than that out of mine, I had wanted to find a scrap head somewhere and section it on a bandsaw at work so I could tell how far I could go without hitting a water jacket but I was unable to locate a scrap head anywhere.

I used a 1/4" air grinder with a short extension I made and several different shaped carbide burrs and polished them smooth with grinding stones and cartridge rolls, a Dremel is not really a good choice for doing any deep pocket porting because they are not rugged or powerful enough but you can buy small carbide burrs for them that will work better than the stones will for getting the material off, the stones are good for finishing work.
