Sounds like you changed your fan relay. The fuel pump relay is drivers side firewall beside the master cylinder. If its the pump relay anyway. You lost me with the pressure relay.

Oops! Sorry for the typo. I meant the fuel pump relay. Does the fuel pump relay and fan relay happen to look the same?

I checked and they are the identical part number, so yes they look the same .

I double checked on mine and it took me a sec to find it too. If your standing in front facing the engine, look on the right side of the master cylinder. You should see a "bracket" with a small harness pludgged in to it. Look on the back of the bracket between it and the firewall and hidden there you'll see 2 relays. I have a 91 rs and thats where mine is. If yours is not there let me know the year and I'll double check it.

Not sure on that one, just pull the bracket and swap one of them, if it doesn't work try the other. if still nothing then you may have other problems.

Well, I changed the inner relay and the car started. Went tank up and it had trouble starting after that. Could it be the outer relay? Anybody have any wiring diagrams? GM sure did a **** poor job of labeling things and the haynes manual sucks big time.

Try just swapping the relays and see if there is any difference.

In every pic the fuel pump relay is on the right hand side. The fan relay is on the left handside. In the pic with the wiring harness, the harness on the right hooks up to the relay. When mounted on the car the fuel pump relay is on the left side and the fan relay is on the right side. I realized that I had the two sitting reversed when I took pics of them

Uh, nope, didn't help at all, lol. My fan relay is on the passengers side by the a/c stuff. On the driver's side I have a bracket mounted up against the wall with two relays behind it. My computer is throwing a code 54, which is something about not enough voltage at terminal B2. I'm pretty sure that could be the fuel pump relay. Knowing me, I probably changed the wrong one. If it's not that I'll change the oil pressure switch cause mine seems to be going out anyway. Anyone knows where that one is? By the oil filter? Thanks.

the fuel pump relay is on the drivers side of the car and is on the back braket on the firewall and is the one with more wires than the other, i belive it has 5 wires going to it and one of the wires is a gray wire going to it, that is the one for the fuel pump.

Both relays are the same that are on that bracket, lol. Don't worry about it. I'll replace the other one just to make sure. It's only $8 or so. No big deal. Any word on the location of the Oil Pressure Switch?

I am having the same problem as you are i just finished swapping a 355 in my 86 ta and i have just about everything plugged in but when i turn the key the fuel pump does not prime. then i crank it my oil gauge in the car says it has like 30psi of oil and the pump doesnot come on. the oil pressure sender is on the back of the block by the distributor and the fuel thing is on the same elbow. can someone give me some insight into this problem??

Turns out it was a problem with either the fuel pump relay or oil pressure switch for me. I changed them both at the same time cause they are on the same circuit. Works fine now.

It differs across the years. Older cars have all square relays (fan/fuel/MAF power/MAF burnoff). later-mid year cars (like 89) have oval fan relays and square fuel pump relays (like the above pic). And newer (like a 92) has all oval relays (fan/fan/fuel).

The oil pressure switch is on the side of the block right above the oil filter.
