car dies

Ok yesterday (May 7th) I was sitting at a light with my stereo up (200wait amp and one 12 speaker, enough for my car). And it dies right there in the middle of 5 o'clock traffic. My security light came on, and the last time it came on my battery terminal was loose and my stereo went off, but this time it didn't. I think my stereo is too powerful for my alternator. But then I think there something else is wrong with my engine. Has anyone else had this problem, or have an idea what it could be? I’m looking into buying a bigger alternator, but it will probably be a wile until then. Thanks! I have an '89 305 camaro RS
