Im not sure if this is in the right place..if it isnt will a moderator please move it?..ok, I'm lookin to put a K&N open element air filter on my 91 rs. I emailed K&N but got no response as to what part number the nice chrome housing is that replaces my stock black one. I was wondering if anyone can help me out w/this. Thanx in advance.

My '83 T/A currently has the stock air cleaner assembly with the single snorkel setup. If I decide to convert to an open air element, what do I do with the hoses that currently plug into the air cleaner? What do those even do?
