i have seen all the tech articles and all the replys to them. but shaving the tbi unit or milling really worth it, will it screw with the cpu?wont there be less space between the injectors and the intake manifold? iwould like to hear from everyone that has done this mod or thinking of it. does it help alot,will i notice a diffrence?

 

it si definately worth doing. it doesn't really move teh injectors closer to teh intake, it just removes the obstruction to air flow tha tcan keep the engien from breathing the way it wants to. the difference you will notice is a little bit of throttle response since the air can more freely accelerate into teh engine and a bit more top end power since the tb can then flow more air.
it doesn't seem to bother the computer at all, at least not that i have ever noticed.
figure a gain between .5 and 1 mph of trap speed and a tenth or two. all for just spending a little time making a rounded edge
of course, there are a few of us workign on an even sicker and high flowing version of this mod by takeing the smoothing in of the edge all teh way out to the air cleaner. stay tuned to see how that works out.
