Engine revs when should be decelerating

When I'm decelerating to a stop (throttle off, braking), my engine always revs up a bit now. I am assuming this is b/c the ECM is making the injectors spit out some fuel, even though the TPS should be reading that there's no throttle (I know, I will verify this with WinALDL when I can get my hands on a laptop soon) -- I just replaced the TPS b/c the problem was getting very bad (it would even throw a low-TPS-voltage code every once in a while), but it's not all the way back to normal (no more codes and the revving isn't as bad, but it's still there)... is there something else that could be factoring in here? Messed up wires to the TPS connector or something? I'm not sure where to look (besides verifying that the new TPS is working to spec w/winALDL) - thanks for any ideas you can offer!

is teh car revving up liek it is trying to accelerate or when you lift does the rpm ump up a few hundred and the car slows down? if it just jumps up a little and the car slows down normally that is the convertor unlocking, nothing to worry about, it is normal. if it is revving up and trying to pull the car then it could be a series of problems.
the tps is not likely to be the issue though. look for a source that may eb introducing extra air into the engine, more air makes it rev up, more fuel alone will not raise the idle. check teh iac for response(if it is hanging open it will rev up teh motor a little) and check the vacumm lines for leaks.

hope this helps.
