Results from dyno....not for the squeemish
An all incredible 163hp and 275lb/ft
Well it's not what I hoped for, I was hopeing for at least 180hp. But I guess if you look at it from a possitive view im now putting at or around 200hp at the fly and over 300lb/ft that the fly as well witch is about 30hp and 50+lb/ft more then stock. I think I have a bad knock senser and a small leak around my headers so maybe after I check tho's two things ill get a couple more hp out of it. I also have in the mail some march underdrive pulley's, a jet chip, flowtech cut out, and a fan switch. So ill give ya'll an up-date from my next dyno next month on how much that stuff improved me.

With headers and a complete exhaust, i think 30HP and 50ft lbs is a pretty good gain. Add an LT1 cam , and an edelbrock TBI intake and you should be well over 200rwhp and 300rwt

I was pretty down on my self but again I really am not expecting much untill I do get my heads, intake, and cam. But if ya'll think thats pretty good with what I got then I am encouraged
Would adding roller rockers help on stock heads? I hear adding 1.6 roller rockers would be like putting a bigger cam in, is this true, or should I stay with 1.5.

lets look at your numbers alittle closer. Ok, you have a 5 speed, so assume 15% loss from the drivetrain
Stock
170 HP --> ~145 rwhp
255 ft lbs --> 217 rwT
Your car
163 rwhp --> 192 HP
275 rwT --> 324 ft lb
So assuming 15% loss, you gain about 22 HP and 69 ft lb at the flywheel or 18 HP and 58 ft lbs at the rear wheel. Still a pretty good gain from just an exhaust and open element.

1.6 rocker arms with that peanut cam will not do you any good. Get an LT1 cam (50 shipped), new springs (K Motion $42), and a new timing chain + misc parts (~100), spend that $200 on something that will definately make you some power. Dont waste it on a stock engine.
LT1 cam w/ 1.5 rockers: .447/.459
stock cam w/ 1.6 rockers: .373/.405

30ponies from air filter and exhaust. damn good i think. using the old basic rule of thumb you can figure 30hp is about 3 full mph of trap speed at the track.
do you have ultimate tbi and diy afpr yet?
can't wait to hear the next set of numbers form ya. keep up the good work.
