Anyone know where to pick up the 12v source on a DB25 connector? The diagram at Joby's web site shows the DB9 connector but not the DB25 connector.

Use a multimeter to find it, just make sure the port is open when you go probing for it. On a db9 the polarity is reversed until the port is opend(start winaldl).

 

Thanks MM, so your saying that the DB25 has a 12v source some where? Can I mess up my laptop if I touch the wrong pins at the same time? I should have bought the DB9 connector instead but I'm just trying to make what I have work.

That is how I did mine and I did not mess anything up but mine is a db9 and I dont know if a db25 has power but it should. My laptop only puts out about 9-10v but it works fine. Good luck.
