Finished!!

I just finished my intake/cam/head/transmission swap and have been driving the car. I just have a few questions, how much base timing should I be running right now I am running 8 advance? The car will run fine before it gets warm, then it has a problem keeping a steady idle. If I let it idle it will die after 10 seconds or so.

I am running world heads, edelbrock preformer TBI intake, and a ZZ4 cam 208/221 .474/.510 112

My car gets kinda wacko too when it's warm and sitting at stoplights. Bumping down the timing seems to help.

Of course I haven't done AFPR, Ultimate TBI mods or chip burning.

Did you swap from an auto to manual trans? If so you need a manual trans prom. Thats part of the stalling problem.

The VSS needs to work properly also.

Yeah, I swaped from auto to manual. I also don't have the speed o hooked up right now i swaped from a 700r4 to a T56.

I think I also might have an ignition problem too, have not had time to really check it out though. When I am driving it will cut out real quick then return to normal. The tack will drop to zero, then return to its original reading.

Just to add to the ubove, when I swaped out transmissions I just connected two of the six wires that went to the auto shifter. The green and the purple wires.

It seems to cut out and go back on most often when I have been crusing for a while. Anyone have any ideas?
