Used LT1 cam question

I have an aquaintance in my car club who has a used LT1 cam from a 94 Formula. He has described it as:

"Stock LT1 cam. One of the lobes is slightly worn, but should still be okay (my car was running fine when I yanked it )."

I have a '91 RS with a rebuilt 355 with open air element on stock tbi. I am planning on doing headers, ultimate tbi mods and already have a 3" exhaust.

I have read alot of posts from 5.0 owners and want to know if this would be a good 350 mod?

I have not examined the lobe that he describes as slightly worn. How much wear should be considered too much?

I have 180 stock rwhp now from a dyno day test. Does anyone have a similar set up to mine to give me an idea of what improvement I will see?

Does anyone have an idea of how much I should pay for it????

Thanks in advance for any advice,

Gary Core

shouldn't be more than $50 shipped. I got 2 for $25 from a buddy of mine. (no more requests for the 2nd one please ) for a 355 you might want to put something in bigger. like a LT4 or LT4 hot cam. But if the pice is right the only real cost is the time to install it.....
