anyone have this problem with GM VAFPR
After I drive awhile and everything warms up the fuel pressure drops about 2 1/2 lbs.Its not vacume related because it drops on the high end also(vacume hose disconected). I dont know if it did this with the stock regulater because I put the gage and vafpr on at the same time. Going to make it impossible two tune a chip if the pressure varies. My gage is in the rubber part of the fuel line buy the stearing column.Could the hedder heat it up and make it read lower? Lots of poeple have installed their gages there, has any one else had this trouble? Somebody talk to me.

Not dads, are you saying that you had this problem and a fuel pump absalutely fixed it ,as in no varience in pressure? Prior to fixing it, did both your WOT pressure and your vac regulated pressure drop by the same amount when it ran awhile? Mine is. What fuel pump did you go with?
I'm hoping to get 300HP with this combo when I'm done tuning, what sould I be looking for in a pump?

Yes to your questions. I was seeing a pressure drop after the car had been running awhile. Both with the stock regulator, the JET adjustable and the vAFPR.
I put in a new pump, Airtex I think was the brand. But I got one for an LT1 powered b-body(Caprice, ImpSS). BTW, my car is an 89 9c1 Caprice with L05. This cured my pressure flucuation problem.
One point, if you've adjusted the vAFPR by turning the torx screw in it, you will need to turn it down several turns after swapping pumps. When I first started my car after the pump swap....22psi. Ooops!
