Car starts now!!! One last question.

Ok, I put in my spare ignition module (orginal) that a had a few weeks ago and now it's not giving me any starting trouble at all. I didn't have an dielectric grease to use so I just put the thing on there. The thing the car is doing now is at idle it sometimes falls out like down to 400 RPM or so then goes back up around 700 where it normally is. I think it's the module that's just old or not getting a good connection. Anybody that would like to agree or disagree?

*Sigh* No codes. Just a sometimes erratic idle.

you may want to try to back teh timing off a touch too, if the timing is a bit too far ahead it can cause the engien to sort of load up at idle and not sit smoothly in place.
if that doesn't help, how old is your O2 sensor? that could make the car run rich at idle.

hope this helps

my car does the same recently. It will shake a little under 900 rpms. I changed the O2 sensor and it does it still. SO, adjusted timing. With the wire disconnected it idled fine, when I reconnected it after the timing was set, it shakes again. I DONT GET IT.
