Strange throttle body on Chevy Van

I was at the U-Pull It looking for a distributer yesterday, and one of the setups I was working on was a Chevy conversion van with a 305 TBI(checked the block casting when I got home). However, this throttle body was strange. If you looked down into the bores, it looked like the bore was a 2" diameter flat bottomed bowl, and then they bored a 1.75" hole in the center of the bottom and put a butterfly valve in it. So, does anyone know anything more about this? It didn't have the injecters and I didn't have a tape measure to measure the bore, but this one looked like it could easily take another .25".

go back and get it, or go back with a camera

or get the vin off the van.

could be propane converted. was this the casting or was it a plate under the tbi.

It was the casting. I'll probably be back in the next couple of weeks and when I do I'm going to take some measurements.
