LT1 cam, last time

LT1 cam, last time

Ok i have the LT! cam and its going in tuesday. what should i buy with it, the timing chain, valve springs, ????? and where do you recommend getting them from?

i recommend doing a search.i think everyone else might agree with me.not trying to be an ***,its just that this is another one of those subjects that has been beat to death.good luck with the swap!

I really wish there was a tech article on this swap, but I can understand why there isn't. Just off the top of my head, from previous posts: lifters and your timing chain are a must. I believe the stock springs will work and can handle the lift-it's up to you whether or not you think they can be reused due to milage, etc. I think Sonar said he used quite a bit of the high temp RTV as well. Check under his name when you search, he updated the board daily when doing his swap. Best of luck from a fellow thirdgen-er who hopes to be able to do the same swap. Let us know how it turns out and what kinda results you get after she's properly tuned.
