This may be a stupid question, but where in the hell (or what in the hell) is the air silencer ring. I can't find anything that remotely resembles what the article is talking about.

P.S.- What kind of gains can or should be expected by removing the air silencer ring and plugging the thermac device??

 

It looks like a small metal air filter. If you cant find it, it has most likley been taken off. It sits in the air filter housing. Not a big gain in power, but every bit helps and stuff like this adds up.

 

Are you talking about that little disc-shaped object on the neck?? The only thing I can find is the thermac device.

I'm still lost..... ....does anybody have a digital camera or something??

 

If there is not a metal air filter looking thing inside the air filter housing than you dont have one. Save about 20 bucks and buy an open element.
