cooling problems... I need help
OK heres my problem, i got a 89 rs camaro that normaly runs at 210 degrees. i started running around 220 to 240 the last 2 weeks. i just rebuilt my TBI and redid the timing but i see the the temp has not droped. i just replaced the thermo and the radiator about 4 months ago, also the fan is always on. can anyone throw me some advice. oh-ya i live in cali and its been hot here in the 90's and 100's the last 2 weeks or so, could this be a factor
Did you get a 160 thermostat? Is your front skirt ok or is it missing? I got my 1 fan wired to always be on too. Do you have 50/50 water/anitfreeze? Are you running lean? Do you have afternarket accessory pullies?
I'm sending this to the General Tech board and the Cooling board too.

Since you live in Cali and dont have to worry about freezing drain your system and run straight water and two bottles of water wetter, antifreez is not the best coolant.. Also clean the area in between your radiator and AC condenser , and make sure that you dont have a plastic bag blocking airflow.
another possibility
i had a car once that started doing that and it rapidly got worse. turned out i had a small head gasket leak and was spraying coolant into one of the cylinders and intern spraying hot compression into the coolant.
