Oil sender/fuel switch location?
Have a look at the photo-sorry about the quality of it! Is this where the oil pressure sender/fuel switch goes on the 305 LO3?
Thanks.

Thanks Camaroguy71. Good advice too!
dimented24x7. Don't put it in that hole since that goes straight through to the firewall area!

Hi dimented24x7.
Thanks for your input to my problem above anyway!
Did you do the TBi swap onto the 350 yourself? If you did, how did it go? What bits were difficult?

i did mine myself over a three day period. Overall it was pretty straight forward. I used an older motor so i had to use a carb intake and adapter which required me to resize my tv and throttle cables as well as bend my fuel lines to get them to run to the tbi w/o interfiering with anything else. I had to use brass fittings in my sensors to get them to fit into the older heads but that was no biggie. Pretty much everyhting else went together as planned. The only part that really irritated me was trying to get teh last two bolts in when i reconnected my engine to the trans. After fumbling with one for like 5 mins i dropped it down the y-pipe and had to go and get a similar grade and size bolt to replace it. The place where i ran into alot of probs was on start up with the ammount of heat generated by the new motor. Lots of friction b/c of low clearences. I had to break my initial 30 min breakin run into two 15 minute runs because the engine was starting to overheat. Also had rediculously high oil pressure too. The only prob i had after that was a slipped dissy. that caused the timing to go way retarded and tripped the ses light. So far after around 350 miles and a month or so its been good.

I need your advice.
Believe it or not, I am having great difficulty in locating these brass fittings in the UK. Where did you get yours from? What size were they? Have you got any photos?
We can get BSP threaded adaptors, but not NPT here.
It looks as if I will have to get them from your country!

i got them from pep boys. They where 3/8 to 1/2 brass adapters. R&B, the company that has motormite and dorman as their brandnames makes them. This is their web page . Look under brass fittings. Your local autoparts store might stock their stuff. Just about every store has em over here but then again this isnt the uk. See if the store cant speacial order the fittings. I suppose as a last resort one of us over here could buy them and mail 'em to ya.
