TBI and LT4 HOT cam

I am currently putting together a vortec headed 9.3:1 compression 350 to replace the 200K mile TBI 305 in my 92 RS 5 speed convertableI was told that the LT4 hot cam was to big for TBI even with a chip and to go with the L31 vortec cam. I have an L98 cam. has anyone tried the hot cam?
also does any one have the specs for:
L98 cam?
L31 vortec cam?
LT1 cam?
LT4 hot cam?
Thanks

If you are planning on burning your own proms then the LT4 Hot Cam is not to big. It will require a bunch of work to get it to idle and drive nicely.

If you are not willing to do prom burning then you best stick with the LT1/L98 size cams. The L31 is smaller then all the ones you mention.

A quick search will reveal the each of those cam's specs.

You also need to be careful with the lift on the cam L31 heads max at .480" lift with out machine work. LT4 Hot cam is .525"

... with 1.6 rockers.

Obviously less with the normal 1.5's.

No, it's not impossible, but you're deep into dyno tuning and prom burning territory.
