sounds like "popcorn going off" from muffler
Sup GENERAL MOTORS GANGSTERS, this one is a puzzler for me HOMETOWNS....
Just installed a Howell TBI 560cfm kit on me 250 L6. Runs awesome on the street, but I did notice when I give full throttle, I can hear a sound that sounds like "popcorn going off" coming from the muffler. Could this be an exhaust flow/scanvenging problem? I don't believe it is a timing problem. I had the enginebuilder/tuner hometown time it for me and I believe it is at 16º advanced and round 40º total(or a little bit less with vacuum-15").
Any help greatly appreciated y'all.....CHEVYTOWN

It's normal. At least on most cars. Even on my headers it does it, I think it's just the engine sucking a little back in, but I could be wrong.
