lattly when i just start my car up in the morning and start to give it gas it makes a light ticking noise... it just started a couple of days ago and i am stumped... if i open the hood and rev the engine i can't hear it only when the car is cold and going down the road...i was thinking maybe somthing with the injectors but not sure anyone have any ideas... its not a knock more of a tick...

It could be a bad Hydraulic lifter or an Exhaust Manifold leak. Try listening to it with an automotive Stethescope or PVC pipe so you can pin point the location a lot easier since both sounds are in the same general area.

im about to lean towards the fact it could be a exhaust leak.

I'm going to go with a ticky lifter. Especially if its when the engine is cold. Especially before the block is full of oil, its likely that your lifters might tick a litle. One of the nice things about our engines is you can test this VERY easily. Pull off the valve cover (on the side with the tick, obviously). Get somebody who isn't your best friend to stand near the engine bay, and turn the car on. The lifter will tick pretty loudly without the cover on and you'll be able to identify which one it is pretty immediately. Don't do this for longe rthan you need to, as oil sprays all over the place. (Which is wy you leave somebody who is not your friend to peak for you)

Ohh yeah, if it goes with engine revs very exactly, then its definately a lifter.
