Emissions-legal intake?
I am cursed (and blessed in some ways) to live in California, where smog runs rampant as do tree-huggers. Therefore I must pass emissions and I am not sure if the Weiand intake manifold will pass. I have read they are better than Edelbrock, but if they dont pass, I cant use it. Also, where can I find info on the AFR heads, and any suggestions with a cam with those heads? LT1? LT4?
THanks in advance!

For the info on afr heads: http://www.airflowresearch.com/
But honestly unless you're building a nice 327+ ci engine you wont need a head that good. For most of our applications the GM Vortec heads or the World Castings SR Torquers are the way to go. I went with the Vortecs, and GM makes a 50-state legal (with erg, obviously) vortec manifold that looks basically exactly like the Performer RPM that Im gonna be running. I dont have the pn, but if you search you can find it

Here it is: part#12496821, also you need a Vortec gasket, part #12529094. But it's not cheep, figure $380
The GM Performance TBI to Vortec intake relocates the egr to the front of the intake, a brass reducer is needed to fit the temp. sensor, and a plug for the coolant bybass. It's a good intake and seems to flow better than my Performer.
