stock gap on HEI

Sup y'all...I need some tricks bros...

I was wondering if the spark plug gap can go past the stock gap--35--to maybe 40 without any mods to the stock HEI module and coil? I was looking to increase the spark gap without modifying the HEI. Is that possible hometowns....

Just replace the plugs with some AC delco Rapid fire plugs they are pre-gapped to .45

I think anything past .040 on a stock coil might be pushing it, but as long as you've got good wires why not try it.
