I think the plenum is a little too big for my combo, so I think it would for a mostly stock 305.

I also had to make a TV cable bracket. AND the EGR won't fit anymore so I removed it which wasn't a big deal because I burn my own chips.

What do you mean the EGR did not fit? Are you saying that I have to remove my EGR also?

I would recommend going with a Weiand Stealth 4bbl intake and mounting the TBI to it with a custom adaptor plate. It will give you more hp because there's more plenum volume.

Oh and all the Holley TBI manifolds are 2" throttle bores. Also the manifold installed height may be a bit high for the stock F-Body hood.

I think I remember someone saying a EGR valve from a 85 z28 would work with that manifold but I could be wrong. For a mostly stock engine the edelbrock TBI manifold is a nice choice. I like mine definetly added a couple ponies. It is also a direct replacement. Everything fits no problem. It does sit alittle higher and alittle furthur back tho.

OK I'm a liittle confuse now. If I get the Holley 300-66, I have to remove the EGR, right? What do I need to cover it? Will it give me any trouble code if I did cover it? What else do I have to do to make it work? If I get the weiand manifold, which one? Part no. pls. Do I have to remove the EGR also, will the weiand fit under the hood with the stock TBI unit? Do I have to get a custome chip to make them work?

Sorry for asking so many question. I just want to upgrade my intake the best way I can but with little trouble...

Thanks You...

if you remove the egr, the car will intermittently give a code 32 at highway speeds and continuous throttle, plus the fact that you may have problems with preignition knock because the timing is done with the egr assumed to be functional. From what everyone says, the edelbrock #3704 performer tbi intake looks to be a better choise as far as ease of instillation is concerened. I have their performer carb intake plus an adapter and i had the same problem that V8astro had witht he cables and egr. I shortened the cables and lost the egr so i could use my intake. Clearences are close with the air cleaner, too.

Search

Maybe look at some of the threads on the 300-49 manifold. The only difference between the 300-66 and the 300-49 is the angle of the bolts.
If you want to install your EGR Valve you can but you need at least a 5/8" spacer between your throttle body and the manifold.
Hope that helps ya.
