I just got an LT1 cam to go in the 355 (350 + .030) I am going to replace my 193k mile LO3 with.
My Problem
I went to bolt the timing gear on and it didn't fit, the dowl pin is not lineing up, the pin on the cam is further inward than the hole on the gear.
I have a non roler cam that this gear will bolt to.
Do I have the wrong cam or the wrong timing set?
Thanks
Ryan

You must have a timing gear for a factory roller cam engine. The standard flat tappet cam has a larger bolt pattern. Go to the parts store and tell them you need a timing chain and gears for your L03 and you will be fine.
