A lot. When my x-mechanic stripped a hole in my head when I was having my header bolts re-tightened, they wanted a total of $800 to take off one head and re-tap it (they clamed it was already stripped, but they were the ones that put the headers on!). Side Note: No I did not let them work on my car after that, and yes I thought it was absolutely stupid to spend $800 on a repair for the stock heads-so thus the header on the side has no rear bolt holding it in. No exhaust leak yet though.
I go to this guy who runs Jenkins Performance and he really seems to know his GM's. I've had him do my headers and my posi setup, and he charged me 200 for each job. I probably could have got it done cheaper elsewhere, but if you wanna play, you gotta pay my friend.

If you want to know how much its gonna be then ask them if they charge what the book says how long it will take or if they charge by actual time spent on the part. I have a mechanic here that charges the same as the one my parents use but cost's me less (does a better job too) since he charges by how long he actually works on it.

The only thing that makes it hard are the bolts under the exhaust ports on the head. IF you don't have AIR garbage, it should be relatively easy providing that you can get the old exhaust manifolds off. Headers should be fairly easy though.
Make sure to use a torque wrench when tightening up the heads. Too much pressure can cause a snapped bolt, too little will leak.
