Hey everyone, I decided to time my 0-60 today with a stop watch( i know it's not very accurate but i still wanted to get a rough estimate.) My rough estimate came out to be 8 seconds flat 3 times! Isn't that a horrible time with an LT1 cam, 3.73 posi, 3inch exhaust and homemade ram air? i did it when the car was warm if that makes a difference and it hasnt had new plugs or anything in 2 or 3 years if that matters too. its a 92 305 tbi

First off, tune your car up!! Especially after a cam change where I'm sure you had to tinker with fuel pressure. 2-3 years is a long time. I read somewhere stock time for an auto was 8.1 sec and for a standard 7.6 seconds. A stop watch is, like you said, not a good way to measure it. Go with a new torque converter if your's is stock, especially if you have an lt1 cam. You should find a pretty nice improvement in your 0-60 times then. Oh yeah-it depends on how warm your engine was-I know mine use to run best when at 180 degrees(when I had the stock chip). Anything over that and performance would start to suffer.
