TBI Sensors

I need some help to identify and clarify some sensors. The ones in question are located on the side of the block and heads.
Starting on the Drivers side
1) The sensor which is located under the exhaust manifold. I know it's purpose is to control the fan. ( Is that right?)

On the Passengers side
1) This one is located above the knock sensor. What is this one? Some one told me that it was another knock sensor, I feel like this guy is wrong.

The problem is that my temp gauge doesn't work, and I think this sensor that I don't know about is the problem.

O, also Haynes manuals SUCK, like the rest of the stuff that comes from Pepboys.

The one on the drivers side should be the temp sensor for the gage. (It is on trucks)

the one on the passenger side should be for the fan (maybe, not on the trucks I have seen)

the one on the left front of the intake manifold is the temp for the injection computer temp
