Ok my lo3 is coming out of the car in the next few days. Im going to get a 9C1 LO5 (l98 cam/lt1 bottom end 9.6:1 comp) I know this isnt a powerful motor but i need a motor asap and this is the best deal i have found. Ill be running a edelbrock TBI intake, ultimated TBI mods, cop car chip, bigger injectors, 3'' hooker supercomp headers and 3'' hooker catback...let me know your feedback...im hoping to make this a hassle free swap.

250hp does sound about right and you might want to throw in the S10 4.3L 95+ torque converter in there while the engine is out and grab a little more takeoff power. That combo should put you in at least the mid 14's which is a drastic difference from a stock L03.

 

well we have an update. I did get the motor listed above. Instead of the TBI setup im going with a holley street dominator intake (idle to 7200rpm), 670cfm holley street avenger carb, hedman long tube headers running true duals to 2 chamber flowmasters...think i grabbed any extra power with this setup.

250hp will be much much better than the lo3...plus im sure the lo3 lost a few ponies due to its milage. the l98 cam will probably pull alittle better to. this summer im gonna get heads and a cam so ill be looking at 350hp at least.
