Holley 670

I bought a Holley 670 502-6 and cannot for the life of me figure out where the bolt goes that holds down the air cleaner.

Anybody else got one of these that can point me in the right direction?

It has to go right here somewhere. Why a new TBI on stock car?

Thanks, I looked there and couldn't find a hole though...

Anyhow, It is not stock anymore. I dropped a 350 in it this past week and rebuilt the transmission. I built it for about 350 HP and 385 lb/ft, I will have to dyno it to find out if I hit my mark. Rebuilding a T5 is pretty simple, I don't expect it to last long though. Probably going to have to go to a Tremec 3550 or T56.

I also have Sub Frame connectors from Kenny Brown, and an SLP take off Zexel posi... those go in next week with 3.42 gears.

I figured it out. The bolt in the center that looks like it holds the caps on the injectors comes out and you put in a stud with a nut.

Exactly!
Are you burning eproms because don't expect to hit your 350hp mark unless you are. If you do hit 350hp then let us see the dyno and tell me how long it took before you started to cry when the car was at idle (yes, it'll be rich rich rich).
Be sure to drill out that brass cap and make the holley unit adjustable. You'll need to crank the fuel pressure up pretty high depending on what injectors you have with that 670.

I will be burning chips soon. I ordered the pocket programmer, and I am debating on whether to spend the money on Tuner Cat or not.

Just off hand, do you know where to get the proper connector for the ALDL cable? I have a buddy of mine who paid like $60 for an ALDL cable already assembled with the proper connector.... I am cheap and prefer to do it myself though, and I don't feel comfortable just hanging my wires in the connector loosely, afraid of eronious data.

Thanks,
Travis

A 7747 ECU will swap right in and you'll be able to use the free version of tunerCATS. You can probably pick a junkyard ECU up for less than $50. I can't remember what the registration fee for TunerCATS is, but I think it was greater than $50.
