how to make ram air functional

how to make ram air functional

hey i just put on a ram air hood. is there any way to make it functional with a tbi? i already have a open element.thanx

Seal it off from the engine bay and that would do it. Just remember that when it rains you don't want water running down and filling your motor up!!! Yes I've seen a few setups that have done this, don't ask, don't tell, just use it as a warning to drill small drain holes for the water.
As for the design, just understand that most "ram air" hoods don't function like ram air. Usually their vents are too low against the body lines and air is more likely to flow over than under and in. This case can be observed with pro drag cars and the snorkels that lift off the hoods.
What hood do you have?
