Car sluggish...need help
Hey everyone, I have been having a problem with my car lately. I have a 92 RS, and after blowing my head gasket decided to upgrade to a 350. Well, after a few months I finally got it to run right and made it to the track. I have full 3 inch exhaust, an open air element, and other mods in my sig..but still I have trouble making as much power as I'd like. I ran a 15.1 @ 91mph. Does a 350 need more than just the ultimate TBI mods to be fed the right amount of air? I can't decide whether I should save up for a 670 Holley TBI, or get rid of my 2.73 rear gears (these hurt alot too). Also anyone with a VAFPR, do you have to drill a hole through the throttle body for the vacuum line? I don't have one yet, would just like to know beforehand...any advice would be appreciated.

My 60' times were right around 2.3, but that was due to the fact of me having 28# of pressure in one rear and 40# of pressure in my other rear tire....I just had new tires put on and didn't think the shop would overinflate my tire...but should have checked. Should drop down to 2.1 hopefully which should put me in the high 14's. Also I think I have my timing right now which should also help. It still feels like I have a very flat spot between 3000 and 5500 rpm. It seems to stop pulling completely...could it just be the TBI?

According to a trap vs weight HP calculator, you're pushing right around 200fwhp, if your car is about 3400lbs (with you in it at the track). Maybe I under estimated. Either way, I think the HP figure is on the low side. You should be in the 220+ ballpark. What is your air intake system like? I don't think it could be the TBI diameters themselves causing an air restriction, not at this power level.
How is your fuel pressure? What is it set at? Still running the original TBI pump?
Do you have access to a scantool (not just a code checker)?
Do you know how to read plugs? If so, what do they tell you?
I think you should be well into the 14s with that setup, with a trap speed a few mph higher.
