Vortec heads with TBI...will I need a new chip?

It's probably been beat to death on the board, but will I need to get a custom PROM if I put Vortecs on my stock-cammed '93 5.7?
I have the Ed Wright Stage 1 chip now, and just wondering if I would need to upgrade.
Thanks, SC.

Stage 1, lol, sorry, I can't help myself.
What idiot would pay for a "stage 1" mail order eprom. When they could burn their own eproms. Go with a carb if you don't want to learn how to burn your own eproms. Either that or find a tuner.

Edit:

Sorry, I didnt notice the truck! Doh. Anyways, if you can get into chip burning - which I really need to get my *** in gear and do - you'd be able to squeeze a little more out of the heads but you should be fine without them. If you dont run EGR like me, you'll get an annoying check engine light on occasion, but its easy enough to live with until I can come up with the money for a chip.
