Need Suggestions On What Intake To Get

i will be buying myself an intake for x-mas and am looking for your suggestions.

i need one with EGR. idle-5500 is my normal driving range.
i was thinking the wieland stealth but from what i understand that has no egr.

i will also be buying a lt1 cam soon if that matters.

that woudl also be the performance range of the edebrock performer tbi, or a regular performer intake.
you can save yourself a few bucks since you have the cowl hood and get an edelbrock performer intake or similar dual plain low rise intake, and put an adaptor plate on it.

later

ok well maybe i'm just a total dumbass but i dont see a performer style intake with EGR. (on summit)

if i got a non EGR intake would i have to do anything else to the engine or PROM to compensate for it?

and also the only TBI adapter i could find was from holly, would that fit on an edelbrock intake?

The intake should work. I think you need to drill the center bolt holes at a different angle to get the intake to work with your heads, as I think the intake is for pre-'87 heads. The holley adapter will work fine with an edelbrock intake. I'm not sure, but I think it needs to be at least 5/8" for your tbi to clear the egr on that manifold.
Also, keep in mind two things:
(1) The LT1 cam actually creates it's own egr in a sense, without needing an actual egr valve. I'm not sure how, but if you do a search, you could find out how and why it does.
(2) Keep a single plane in mind. The LT1 cam will help move your powerband up, which a single plane would complement, and it has been said that using tbi will actually make your powerband start up to 1,000rpm earlier than advertised, do to the fuel injection.
I am by no means an expert, though and have no personal experiance with manifolds. Do a search, and you will find A LOT.

well is there any intake that is a direct bolt on? i'd really like to not have to drill or do any "craftsmanship" of my own.

The best direct bolt-on intake for the tbi, is just the Edelbrock Performer TBI its supposed to just bolt right up with no worries.

I thought the only intake manifold you could use with the TBI and STILL RETAIN EGR and require NO mods (ie direct bolt in) was the Edelbrock Performer TBI #3704

Am i wrong?.......

intake manifold

You are right Weiand name does not make a Stealth intake with EGR provision if you want a Weiand, look at the action plus 8024 It is the intake with EGR provisions for 1987-later cars and will operate in the powerband you want. I believe it too has the spread bore pattern too.
