Engine weights??
How much does the LO3 weigh?? Without the transmission? how about the th700r4? Has anybody changed to th350 transmission for weight loss??

Any info would be nice...

These are not exact but decent ballpark figures:

SBC (LO3): 550lbs, 250kg (complete, no trans)
5 spd manual: 90lbs, 41kg
700r4: 160lbs, 73kg

I don't have the info on the TH350.

Never hear of changing to that tranny for weight loss, my friend went from the 700r4 toa th-350 for strength and power. Theres no overdrive on it though so he cruses at 3500 to 4000 at 70 mph.
