Forced induction
Has anyone done this with a tbi? I know people do it up the wazoo with tpi, but i was wondering if anyone has with tbi? I know that they have the vortec? s/c which can be used on carbs now, so would that apply to us too?

What has been determined on this site is?
170hp stock TBI engine with 50% more power from supercharger yields only 250hp. For $3000 plus that is not a good investment.
If you were to cure the heads, cam, intake and exhaust problems then a supercharger would work ok. But then you would have a small fortune tied up in the engine compartment and the rest of the stock drivetrain would not hold up to the task. Especially that 7.5" rear.
