Looking to swap in the 330 hp Vortec engine
Here is the link to the engine:
http://goautocenter.com/330hp_vortec.htm
I am looking to swap that engine into my 92 RS that came with the 5.0 TBI. I want to keep the TBI setup on the new engine and I was wondering what I would need to buy to make this happen.
What I can think of that I need to buy is the Edelbrock Performer RPM Vortec style Intake Manifold, the Holley 670 CFM Throttle Body (wondering if that comes with large enough injectors or if I would also have to buy bigger ones), an adaptor plate to link the TBI to the intake manifold (hoping someone can give me a link to exactly where I need to go to find what I am looking for, or even possibly tell me what item it is in Summit or Jegs with an item number if possible), I would also need to get self aligning rocker arms for the vortec heads (the ones I am looking at are 1.6 ratio from Jegs, made by Comp Cams). I also would appreciate it if someone could help me out with suggestions on how to get a custom chip.
I know I also need to beef up the suspension and for this I was planning on getting alot of stuff from Spohn, including Lower Control Arms and Relocation Brackets, a Panhard Rod, Torque Arm, Front and Rear Sway Bars, and Bolt-In Subframe Connectors. I was also planning on swapping in a 3.42 or 3.73 Posi Rear End. My car has T-tops so I was wondering if I really needed all of this or if there was one or two things I wouldnt need to get to save money.
My car already has the Edelbrock TES Headers, Flowmaster American Thunder Catback Exhaust, a Hypertech Thermomaster Chip, a K&N X-Stream 14x3 Air Filter, and a 160 Degree Hypertech Thermostat.
I am looking to get my car into the 12 second range, any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot.

The motor is great for 13's but I have yet to see it in the 12's. Maybe if you gutted the car down to 3200lbs with you and gas you might have a chance of breaking into the 12's. 1.6 rocker arms won't bolt on to this crate motor. They'll bolt on but not all of them
, .465 exhaust lift with 1.5 ratio arms with 1.6 is .496 lift. That's too much with those heads. .480 is max lift with stock vortec heads.
The intake choice is exactly what I have. The adaptor plate is just a holley square bore adaptor to their pro-jection 2" TB.
As for the eprom. Take that one you have now and sell it, get a stock chip, ANLU is the best start. That's what I used to run the 13.8 at 102. I had to advance the base timing a lot and crank down the fuel pressure but it'll work. Get into burning your OWN eproms. I obviously have a pretty good eprom for the setup BUT we don't have the same fuel pressure, same vehicle weight, exact base timing, exhaust, waterpump, etc. that it won't work well. I have no problems sharing info if you do decide to get into burning your own. If you don't think you're up to burning your own chips go with a carb, it'll be easier for you to find more local tuning help.

or maybe a fuel pump that isn't 170k old and soem traction can do it jon
hehe.
jon saw 102 mph at teh track with it full weight and before most of his tuning. i think there is a 12 in tehmotor in teh spring if he catches some traction.
