If it has been well taken care of then it will last for a while. If it has been beat on then it won't. All in all the SB chevy v8 is a good relaible motor.

How long will your block last? The block is usually the thing that does not go out. I never really hear of L03's stop running because they have worn the cylinder walls down to much or worn the rings completly out. Its usually something else. JMO. It should last a while. Just when it acts up, give it some hell to put it back in shape. j/k

Mine lasted to 186k before I took it out but, it wasn't burning oil or anything and it still performed pretty good. I think it is all in the care. I changed the oil religiously at 3000 miles but ocassionally gave it hell too.

Just turned 185K miles, and 100% stock. Just checked the oil two days ago and it's 1/2 qt low (still above the fill line). Although it is about 500 miles past due.

Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow?
