goofy oil gage is gonna give me a heart attack
Ok here it is, I get in my car start it, oil guage is at 80 no matter what untill the car warms up, always been like that and still is, but now when the car warms up the oil pressure goes all the way down to real close to 0, where as at idle it used to sit at 40. As soon as I take off from idle the oil gauge reads same as it always has, which has always been high, manley high flow oil pump, valvoline durablend oil, mobil 1 oil filter, 17* outside. I took off the oil cap and checked the flow on the drivers side head, looks like it did when it was new. That guage just flips me out and gets me worried, what elce should i check or what tests can i do to be sure that my oil preuusre aint really that low?? Thanks in advance for the help.

Something I've learned about our gauges. . .
Oil pressure = crap
Gas level = crap
Tach = crap
Water temp = too accurate, freaks me out.
Trust me, you'll know it when your oil pressure is below 20 psi. Your engine will sound like a washing machine.

If you want real peace of mind, add a mechanical oil pressure and water temp gauge. I did.
Even with a new sender sometimes a ground problem will give you a flaky reading on any electrical gauge.
A mechanical will work even if there is no electrical power.

if it had too much oil pressure or too little oil pressure you would have heard it by now
more then likely the gauge has kicked the bucket the one in my RS is dead
