Go to your local AutoZone, Advance, SuperTrak, etc and buy a book. Haynes or Chilton's or both.
There's way to many 'step-by-step' things to list in here. By the time you went and bought the book, got home and got the intake manifold off, I'd still be typing.

You will need to drain the coolant and the oil.
You need gaskets for removing the intake, valve covers, timing cover, water pump(in and out), and oil pan if your not careful when removing and installing the timing cover.
If you want some decent directions on installing it go to http://www.cranecams.com and go to the "How-To" section and click on one.
Most of it is just common sense, be careful and organized as you pull parts off so that you can get them back on in the exact same spot which is very important for the lifters and pushrods.
Good luck, if you have anymore questions just ask, someone on here will know the answer.
