first, i just want to say how dissappointed i am in my car. i raced a 99 automatic 4 door civic and got beat twice. all he had done to his car is a complete exhaust and cold air intake. would it be a good idea to throw in a LT1 cam in a 160,000 mile Lo3?

our cars are slow as hell stock. Do an open element, headers, 3" exhaust, hi flow cat, 3.73 gears, posi and a good tune up about u should be good.

All of those will definetely help out. Shift kits are nice for the automatics as well. 160,000 miles is a lot, even though L03s were built to last and do hold up pretty good. Your best bet is to mod stuff other than the engine, and then when the time comes for a rebuild or replacement, you will be set.

well, the only thing there that is really worth any performance is the torque converter, do the exhaust and gears w/ posi, that will really wake your car up
