Question about the edelbrock performer tbi and the tbi heads.
How well does the intake match up to the ports of the stock tbi heads? Is there anything to be gained by porting the edelbrock tbi intake to the shape of the heads or does the intake already match up good? What about gasket matching? Thanks

I ran one for awhile on stock heads(LO3). It matched up preaty well. I was happy with the manifold. I would still be running it if I hadn't went to pre 87 heads.

I can't address the specific gains from the intake, cause I put it on when the whole engine was rebuilt. From what I hear, it's not a huge improvement... worthwhile, yes, but not all that much of a gain in and of itself. As for the ports, there again...they match up as well as stock. Will porting help? Of course, as it always does. Is it neccessary? No, not to correct any manufacturing shortcomings.
