what is your MPG

I have a 305 TBI w/ 5 speed and get crap for mile per gallon on gas. It might be because I always rev the engine and drive in 4th on the freeway sometimes. Also it is a 91, all stock engine, and 75,000 miles on it.

What do you guys get for MPG to see how I compare??

Ya, if driven the "right" way. Unforchently I have too much fun ex. spinning tires, reving engine, and 4th gear on freeways.

I have 3.23 4th gen rear end swap. Is that going to make a differance from 3.08 gears??

well, it is going to make a diffrence, but which way, i don't know.

with 3.23 on the freeway, you may be in the 'sweet spot' where you engine is running most efficently. or you might be there with 3.08s i really don't know at what RPMvsMPH the lo3 does the best at.

Torque peak for the lo3 is at 2400 rpm. After that rpm, you're running more fuel to get a bit extra rpm.

so the sweet spot for comfort cruising can happen anywhere up to that rpm well enough even for 3.42 gears. For me I like to cruise around 2200-2300 rpm which is around 65-75 mph with 3.23 gears and auto 4th gear.

Well my rs it undoubtedly a bit out of tune and a mildly heavy foot means (with the warmer weather) i get around 14-16mpg in the city. Highway like everyone else is around 25-28mpg with about 30mpg if i have a nice tail wind.

I was pulling 24-25mpg on the highway, stock. Now with my mods I'm getting about 20 on the highway and about 12-14 in town. But my foot is usually in it around town.

22-25MPH freeway which is pretty good i guess, but it kills gas in the city.

I get around 17 in the city and 22 on the highway, but this is with a 350 with 65# injectors and 3.43 gears. I love the mileage I get over my friends carbed 350. He gets only about 14 on the highway and 10 in the city. TBI gives some good gas mileage.

Looks like I call into the same range as all of you 13-18 MPG city. I just wanted to make sure I was getting something really low.

10 city...roughly. Gears dont matter to me, I get bad mileage with 2.73's or 3.73's.

I've been getting 21 city! I used to get 18-19. I get about 26 highway.
I might get an LS1 car soon. I hear they can get 25city and 30+highway, and then run low 13s at the track

Do you even want to know?

With my 2.5L TBI and 5 speed with the 14" wheels I had, it was near 27-30 MPG

with my 16 inchers I got closer to 25 MPG

Before I put my headers on I got ~30 mpg hiway. After the header install and full exhaust I'm now getting just over 29 mpg hiway. Not bad if you ask me and not a big difference considering changing weather conditions and traffic. Once all that is figured in I'm probably about the same as before.

In my 383, I just made 21mpg highway. I am running way rich , and need a lot of changes to the prom, but first I need to find a small vacuum leak I have so I stop getting code 33. I hope to be around 25-26 mpg highway once she's tuned. City milage on the other hand is hopeless.
