Simple TBI question for the guru's

I have a 1991 Chevy V-3500 truck(old body style). It was originally a 4-speed. I swapped in an automatic. Do I need a new chip for the computer? I guess what I am asking is, does a straight drive take a different chip than a automatic? The truck has TBI. If it takes a different chip any suggestions on where to find one or what will work(years and models?). Thanks ahead of time.

The chip controlls torque converter lock up and unlock, so if you have a lock up converter you may want to controll it with the right chip. If you have a non locking converter it shouldn't be necesary to change chips.
